Recently-Traded Chargers Cornerback Benched by New Team
The Los Angeles Chargers traded away their former star cornerback, J.C. Jackson, to the New England Patriots in early October. It was clear from the jump that the signing was a bust, and the LA brass wasted no time shipping him out when they got the chance.
His play was not up to the standards of his contract, and there were many off-the-field issues. Well, it seems like old habits die hard with the former All-Pro cornerback, as he will not be traveling with the Patriots for their matchup with the Indianapolis Colts for their Week 10 game in Germany.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick announced Jackson will not travel with the team, citing reliability issues.
NFL Network first reported that Jackson won't travel for the game, citing questions about his reliability. A source told ESPN that Jackson missed curfew at the team hotel Saturday. SI.com had previously reported that Jackson was late to the hotel.

Before dealing Jackson back to New England, where the Bolts signed him from, Jackson signed a five-year, $82.5 million contract in the 2022 offseason.
The 28-year-old was supposed to revolutionize the defense and take it over the top with the likes of Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa, and Derwin James. Instead, Jackson was of little to no use and wreaked havoc on the team instead of wreaking havoc on opposing offenses.
The Chargers desperately needed to get out of that and, luckily, jumped on the first opportunity. The signing was a bust, butLA has moved on from it and is focused on restoring this talented defense with much promise.
