How to Watch Kansas City Chiefs at New Orleans Saints
The Kansas City Chiefs' 2023 offseason is a thing of the past now, as the preseason is officially here for the reigning Super Bowl champions.
Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes and company are on the road to begin their three-game stretch of preseason play, as the New Orleans Saints will play host on Sunday afternoon. Led by head coach Dennis Allen and new quarterback Derek Carr (who those in Chiefs circles are quite familiar with), the Saints are looking to rebound from a disappointing seven-win 2022 campaign. The next three weeks present an opportunity for both clubs to set the tone for the year, and Kansas City is looking to steal a win in hostile territory.
Preseason results don't always translate to success in the regular season, but these games still carry a good deal of importance for other purposes. As teams look ahead to finalizing their 53-man rosters, preseason tape is a significant influence in making those calls. For a team like the Chiefs, a squad that has a pretty clear hierarchy on the depth chart but is still trying to iron out a handful of spots, Sunday's game marks another step in that process.
