Even Bill Belichick Has Thoughts on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
This game of NFL Mad Libs keeps getting crazier. After Taylor Swift's surprise appearance at Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears — while sitting next to Travis Kelce's mom, Donna, no less — two of the winningest coaches in NFL history shared their thoughts on the power couple, with Monday's quip coming from... New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick?
Appearing on The Greg Hill Show on WEEI, Belichick alluded to Kelce's list of NFL achievements before acknowledging that this week has been a different type of accomplishment for the future Hall of Famer.
"Well, I would say that Travis Kelce has had a lot of big catches in his career," Belichick began. This would be the biggest."
Belichick isn't the only all-time great who had a joke to crack about Swift's appearance at Arrowhead. After the game, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was asked if he had met Swift yet.
"You know what, I’ve met her before. I set them up," Reid said, pausing for laughs from the press. "She's tremendous at everything she does. I haven’t got to meet her, but if she ends up with Travis, I’ll probably get to meet her."
After the game, Kelce and Swift were seen leaving together, first walking out of the stadium (as filmed by Jarrett Payton, son of the late Hall of Fame Bears running back Walter Payton) and then by car, as Kelce drove with Swift in the passenger seat.
In a truly bizarre 12 hours, NFL fans and Swifties have united around the most high-profile new celebrity couple in the world, all while they cruise around Kansas City.
