Anthony Richardson Interception vs Buffalo Bills: Film Room

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson threw an INT against the Buffalo Bills. What went wrong on the play?

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson had a solid preseason debut this past Saturday, completing 7-of-12 passes for 67 yards and an interception in one quarter of play. Those numbers don't tell the entire story, as they were held back by a few penalties and drops, but the offense did account for 123 yards total in his one quarter of play.

The biggest gaff on a fairly impressive debut was an interception thrown by the young passer on the sixth play of the game. Richardson panicked on a busted RPO curl-flat and then sailed a pass to the boundary for the pick.

While the play looked like a major mistake for the young passer, there are a couple layers as to how he got put in the situation that led to his panic. Today, I dove into the film room to break down every element of the play and discuss how this is the perfect learning experience for a young player in the preseason.

The 15 minute video breakdown below is part of a new series for the channel where I go in detail about a few plays each week to truly dissect everything that went down on the play. It won't always focus on the negative plays, but this seemed like a crucial one to include for the debut video.
