Anthony Richardson Rookie of the Year?
The Indianapolis Colts made former Florida Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
While he was the fourth player selected, he was the third quarterback behind Bryce Young to the Carolina Panthers and C.J. Stroud to the Houston Texans.
Richardson was also the third-offensive player taken in the draft, but what are the bettering odds of him winning the offensive rookie of the year?
Pointsbet has Richardson with the fifth-best odds at +750 (bet $100 to win $750).
Running back Bijan Robinson leads the betting lines at +250. He was selected by the run-heavy Atlanta Falcons with the No. 8 overall pick.
Young follows Robinson (+450), and then it's another running back coming in third. The Detroit Lions selected Jahmyr Gibbs with the No. 12 overall pick, and he comes in at +600.
Stroud just edges out Richardson with the fourth-best odds at +700.
The Colts are coming off a disappointing season that began with playoff aspirations and finished with the fourth-worst record in the NFL.
There's cautious optimism around a quick rebound under new head coach Shane Steichen. Much of the nucleus that had people talking a possible Super Bowl run last year is still in place for the Colts.
How quickly they can be considered legit-playoff contenders will depend in large part on how quickly Steichen tap into the enormous potential of Richardson.
If Richardson is in contention for offensive rookie of the year at the end of the season, the Colts will be in contention for a playoff spot.
