Colts' Anthony Richardson Leaves Game vs. Texans
Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson left Sunday's game early against the Houston Texans during the second quarter and was ruled out after entering into the NFL concussion protocol.
There was no obvious play or reason for Richardson to be evaluated, but he did hit his head on the ground during the first quarter following his second touchdown run of the day.
At the time he left the game, the Colts held a 14-7 lead, and Richardson was 6-of-10 passing (60%) for 56 yards (5.6 YPA) and a passer rating of 75.4 along with 3 carries for 35 yards and a pair of touchdowns, which were his second and third already this season.
Richardson was replaced by backup quarterback Gardner Minshew.
