Colts Promote Vet Running Back, Place Other On Injured List
A day ahead of their showdown at Lucas Oil Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Indianapolis Colts are crafting their gameday roster.
On Friday, they elevated running back Tyler Goodson to the active roster for Sunday's game, as he will revert back to the practice squad afterward. The Colts also announced that they placed veteran defensive end Derek Rivers on the Practice Squad Injured List.
Goodson (5'9", 197, 23 years old) has been called up for each of the last two games for the Colts while running back Jonathan Taylor rehabs from a procedure on his thumb. Goodson has been on the field for 9 offensive snaps, catching all 3 of his pass targets for 9 yards (3.0 avg.).
The Colts can only designate Goodson as a gameday practice squad elevation one more time this season.
