In this story:

After recent inquiries to the Indianapolis Colts about owner Jim Irsay's whereabouts, the team announced on Tuesday that he is being treated for "a severe respiratory illness."

Jim Irsay is currently being treated for a severe respiratory illness. While this unfortunately means he won't be able to perform with his band this week in Los Angeles, he is receiving excellent care and looks forward to returning to the stage as soon as possible. We’ll have no additional information at this time and we ask that you respect the privacy of Jim and his family as he recovers.

Irsay's health condition will cause him to miss his band's performance and memorabilia showcase this week in Los Angeles.

ESPN Colts reporter Stephen Holder added some further context to the situation, stating, "Colts owner Jim Irsay, who has not been seen publicly in weeks, is being treated for a severe respiratory illness, according to the team. He will not be appearing at the Irsay Collection event in Los Angeles this week as a result.

"The team had been receiving numerous questions from media in recent weeks about his whereabouts."
