The Indianapolis Colts head into the offseason after a disappointing 23-19 defeat at home to the Houston Texans on Saturday.

The Colts would've entered the playoffs with a win but now find themselves recollecting an impressive season where they exceeded expectations while their AFC South foe enjoys their spoils.

Despite the loss, it was an entertaining game that saw some standout performances, including one for the record books for a certain running back.

  • He set a new single-season career-high in passing yards (3,305).

Running back Jonathan Taylor had 30 carries for 188 yards (6.3 avg.) and 1 touchdown as well as 2 receptions (2 targets) for 8 yards (4.0 avg.).

  • His carries and yardage were single-game season highs.
  • His rushing yards are the second-highest mark in a single game for his career, trailing only his franchise-record 253 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17 of 2021. It also ranks as the seventh-most in a single game in team history.
  • Taylor passed Joseph Addai (4,453) for the seventh-most rushing yards in franchise history.
  • Taylor tied Eric Dickerson (7) for the most 150-yard rushing games in franchise history.
  • Taylor tied Lydell Mitchell (16) for the third-most 100-yard rushing games in franchise history.
  • He passed Joseph Addai (43) for the most total touchdowns by a Colts player in their first four seasons.
  • Taylor passed Addai (39) and tied Alan Ameche (40) and Don McCauley (40) for the fifth-most rushing touchdowns in franchise history.
  • Taylor passed Jim O’Brien (263) for the third-most points by a Colts player in their first four seasons.
  • Taylor's 49-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter was his longest carry of the season.
  • Taylor finished the season with six consecutive games with a touchdown from scrimmage, which is the second-longest active streak in the NFL.

Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. caught 5-of-6 targets for 44 yards (8.8 avg.).

  • He tied Marvin Harrison (109 in 2001) for the fourth-most receptions in single-season franchise history.
  • Pittman passed Bill Brooks (3,639) for the third-most receiving yards by a Colts player in their first four seasons.
  • Pittman tied Jessie Hester (62) for the sixth-longest streak with a reception in franchise history.

Wide receiver Josh Downs caught 3-of-3 targets for 48 yards (16.0 avg.).

  • He passed Brooks (65 in 1986) for the most receptions by a Colts rookie.
