Colts, Raiders Announce Inactives Ahead of Sunday's Matchup
The Indianapolis Colts (8-7) and Las Vegas Raiders (7-8) square off on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium in a matchup of two teams where every win matters if they hope to make the postseason.
It's anyone's guess what to expect from either team as the Colts are 1-2 in their last three games following a recent four-game win streak, and the Raiders have won two straight after losing three in a row.
Health will be key in this one for both teams. Heading into the weekend, the Colts listed top wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (shoulder/concussion), right tackle Braden Smith (knee), slot cornerback Kenny Moore II (back), linebacker Cameron McGrone (illness), and wide receiver D.J. Montgomery (groin) as questionable while ruling out running back Zack Moss (forearm).
Moore and McGrone are inactive.
The Raiders listed right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (knee) and starting center Andre James (ankle) as questionable, starting running back Josh Jacobs (quad) as doubtful, and ruled starting rookie tight end Michael Mayer (toe) as out.
Jacobs is inactive.
Here are both teams' lists of inactive players.
- DT Adetomiwa Adebawore
- IOL Jack Anderson
- S Henry Black
- LB Cameron McGrone (illness)
- CB Kenny Moore II (back)
- RB Zack Moss (forearm)
Pittman returns after missing last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, and Smith returns after missing the majority of the last four games.
The biggest issue for the Colts is the injury to Moore. Previously, Julian Blackmon and Tony Brown would've been options to fill in, but Blackmon was placed on Injured Reserve with a shoulder injury this week, and Brown was suspended for the remainder of the season last week. Chris Lammons was the next man up in training camp but hasn't really seen defensive action this year. Nick Cross, the new starting strong safety, is an option.
- TE Zach Gentry
- C Hroniss Grasu
- CB Tyler Hall
- QB Brian Hoyer
- RB Josh Jacobs (quad)
- TE Michael Mayer (toe)
- DT Byron Young
The Raiders take a major hit to their already-struggling offense as reigning NFL rushing champion Jacobs sits out, as does stud rookie Mayer. They will be replaced in the lineup by Zamir White and Austin Hooper, respectively.
