The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly re-signing free-agent offensive lineman Danny Pinter to a one-year contract, according to Joel Erickson of The Indianapolis Star.

Pinter, who turns 28 this offseason, was one of just two free-agent offensive linemen for the Colts this winter. After re-signing Jack Anderson earlier in the month, the Colts are running it back with their entire 2023 offensive line.

The Colts ranked 10th in the run game (121.1 YPG) and were tied for 16th in sacks allowed (41) last season.

The Colts retain a true Hoosier in Pinter, who grew up in South Bend before playing collegiately at Ball State University in Muncie.

Originally drafted by the Colts in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Pinter has started 7-of-46 games at center and right guard, seeing 621 offensive snaps in total. However, he suffered a broken ankle last summer, requiring him to miss the season before it began.

Pro Football Focus has given Pinter a career average grade of 59.1, showing much more at center than in 2022 when he began the season as the starting right guard.

Pinter re-joins the competition for a depth spot on the interior of the Colts' line alongside Anderson, Wesley French, Arlington Hambright, Lewis Kidd, and Josh Sills behind starters Bernhard Raimann, Quenton Nelson, Ryan Kelly, Will Fries, and Braden Smith.
