The Washington Commanders have their guy.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Washington Commanders are hiring Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as their head coach, filling the final vacancy in the NFL.

Quinn has served as the Cowboys' defensive coordinator for the past three seasons, leading one of the best units in the NFL. Now, he gets another shot as a head coach.

Quinn previously served as the head coach for the Atlanta Falcons from 2015-20, reaching the Super Bowl in 2016. However, he led a team that surrendered a 28-3 lead in an infamous loss and never got back to that level in Atlanta.

Quinn beats out Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, Baltimore Ravens defensive line coach Anthony Weaver and Commanders offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy as finalists for the position.

Quinn will be plenty familiar with the Cowboys when he faces them twice every season while he leads the Commanders in Washington.
