The Washington Commanders have their offensive coordinator.

According to FOX Sports insider Peter Schrager, the Commanders are hiring former Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury as the team's offensive coordinator.

Kingsbury, 44, coached the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 2013-18 before moving to the NFL to coach the Cardinals from 2019-22. This past season, he spent time as an offensive analyst for the USC Trojans, who were quarterbacked by Caleb Williams, the projected top pick in this year's NFL Draft.

Washington has the No. 2 overall pick, and the Chicago Bears hold the No. 1 selection.

It remains to be seen whether the Bears will be interested in drafting Williams or keeping incumbent starter Justin Fields, but this likely confirms that the Commanders will have some interest in the USC Trojans signal caller.

Cowboys' Micah Parsons 'Super Happy' for Commanders Coach Quinn

Kingsbury becomes the biggest hire so far under Dan Quinn's regime after bringing aboard Joe Whitt Jr. as the team's defensive coordinator late last week.

Now, Quinn has his lieutenants lined up with a vision and path forward for a potential quarterback reunion between Kingsbury and Williams.
