Commanders Players Rip Dan Snyder Franchise in NFLPA Survey; Washington Finishes Dead Last
We are unhappy to report that the news of the NFLPA survey of NFL players, including those who toil for the Washington Commanders, is less than shocking.
The NFLPA has released its first annual report cards for all teams in the league, and yes - you guessed it - the Commanders finished in 32nd place.
That's ... last.
The report was released on Wednesday with the intention, in part, of helping to guide impending NFL free agents toward favorable landing spots.
The report therefore does not help Washington, just as the ongoing turmoil involving owner Dan Snyder does not help Washington.
Washington ranked dead last overall in the review while receiving an “F” grade in terms of "treatment of families,'' "training room'' and "travel.''
Wait. Correction. The voting players in fact, via the NFLPA report, did not give Snyder’s franchise an "F'' grade in "travel.''
Washington actually was given an “F-minus” grade in the travel category.
“One of the things we wanted to be able to present to players was, 'What are the decisions your team is making when given the option to do something for you',” NFLPA president JC Tretter said in a statement.
Yes. We get it. It is helpful ... just not to the Commanders, who are struggling to help themselves in many areas.
You can read the complete and league-wide breakdowns here via the official NFLPA website. But be warned: You're not going to enjoy it.
