'Fire Alarms!' Washington Commanders Ordered Out of FedEx After Getting Torched by Dolphins
On the field, the Washington Commanders got burned again. And once off the field and in the FedEx Field locker room? The heat must've still been on, as the stadium fire alarms went off, ordering players to evacuate the building.
It's the Commanders. It's FedEx Field. It's always something.
Washington lost 45-15 on NFL Week 13 Sunday to the visiting Miami Dolphins, who thanks to speedster Tyreek Hill and company have a habit of torching opponents.
But there is some irony here, as this week FedEx may have been too hot and in need of a good water hose ... but recently in a game in this same building, players were unable to shower at their home stadium due to an issue with the stadium's water pipes.
"Fire alarms going off while players are in the locker room," wrote reporter Nicki Jhabvala. "Security guard just came in said everyone has to clear the building."
Yes, the Commanders are falling apart, having now slipped to 4-9 in a lost season in which new owner Josh Harris faces some difficult decisions regarding the likely firing of head coach Ron Rivera ... though maybe that "difficult decision" is about whether to do it now, or, as it seems is planned after the season.

And then there are other decisions to be made, too, about how to find a functional building in which to play home games.
The Commanders will be back in action two weeks from today against the Los Angeles Rams. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET.
