Greg Olsen Spurns 'Skins for Seattle

Greg Olsen made his decision on Tuesday and he chose to bypass familiarity for a better chance at a Super Bowl.

For Greg Olsen - perhaps winning a Super Bowl and playing with the best quarterback - exceeded familiarity. 

Former Panthers’ TE Greg Olsen is signing a one-year, $7 million deal that includes $5.5M gtd with the Seahawks, per source. Olsen visited and negotiated with Buffalo, Seattle and Washington but felt most comfortable with the Seahawks.

As Adam Schefter points out - Russell Wilson was a strong drawing card. 

Greg Olsen really liked Buffalo and Washington, and strongly considered both. But the lure of playing with Russell Wilson in Seattle was just too strong. Olsen takes a 1-year, $7 million deal with the Seahawks.

As we explain in this video analysis - at this point (maybe we'll find out?) we don't know what the Redskins and Bills offered Olsen either. 

Perhaps both teams weren't comfortable with a $5.5 million guarantee?
