NFL 'Very Happy' with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Romance, Says Commanders Owner Magic Johnson
One of the most-followed NFL storylines of this season is the budding relationship between mega-pop star Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The Swift effect has impressed Washington Commanders co-owner Magic Johnson, who voiced his appreciation and stamp of approval in November. On the "Jimmy Kimmel Show," Kimmel joked that Johnson should try to get one of the Commanders players to date Swift.
“Exactly, well, the NFL is very happy about that whole situation,” Johnson said back in November.
Johnson is not the only vocal sports figure who supports the Swift. Former Houston Texans star and current CBS Sports analyst, J.J. Watt, defended the broadcasts for showing Swift frequently at games.
"I think it's great. I can't understand why people are so upset about it," Watt said to US Weekly. "I mean, they show celebrities at games all the time. Don't act like we don't show male celebrities at games all the time. I really don't understand why it's caused such an uproar."
The 12-time Grammy Award-winning songstress has also undoubtedly moved the needle in NFL viewership and fandom with many "Swifties" turning their attention to football, and now, the Super Bowl.
The reigning-Super Bowl champion Chiefs will look to defend their title against the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas. Swift will likely be there, although she does have a quick turnaround from her final Era's Tour show in Tokyo to get there.
Could this romance apex with Kelce down on one knee after the Super Bowl?
The odds are slim, with "no" being a heavy favorite at the moment. The "yes" option is currently listed at +1120, with the negatory at -3500. The current odds imply that there is an eight-percent chance of an on-field proposal with a 92-percent chance it won’t happen.

Then again. You never know with this love story.
Also, the odds are only available in Canada. No legal American sportsbook will host any Taylor Swift props for the Super Bowl. The Niners are the current favorites to win Super Bowl LVIII, so the odds are stacked against Kelce's Chiefs in more ways than one.
Swift has supported Kelce by attending 12 Chiefs games this season, sitting in suites with family members of the team. The two exchanged a sweet embrace that went viral on the field after the Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.
No doubt, an engagement would move the needle off the charts.
