Colts Owner Jim Irsay 'Very Happy' After Commanders' Dan Snyder Sells Franchise

Jim Irsay is one of many who are happy that Dan Snyder no longer owns the Washington Commanders.
In this story:

The NFL owner's club has a new member today after Josh Harris' $6.05 billion transaction to purchase the Washington Commanders was unanimously approved by the other 31 owners.

Among those approving the sale is Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay, who said that he was "very happy" about the move in a statement via NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero.

Irsay and Dan Snyder, the embattled former owner of the franchise, hadn't been on the best of terms in recent years.

"We have to act," Irsay said back in October. "He needs to be removed."

And removed he was.

Irsay and Snyder's feud again reached the public eye in May, when it was revealed that the Commanders had reportedly sought out the availability of former Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, who retired in 2019 and still has his playing rights with Indianapolis.

Irsay subtlely called out Snyder and the Commanders for "tampering."

"If any NFL Team [attempted] to contact Andrew Luck (or any associate of him)... to play for their Franchise - it would be a clear Violation of the League's Tampering Policy," Irsay tweeted

I think it's safe to say that there are a lot of people who are pleased with the news of today's sale, and few may be happier than Irsay.
