Commanders NFL Mock: Draft Kelee Ringo from Georgia?

The Washington Commanders need help winning and in the secondary. Could Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Kelee Ringo be the pick at No. 16?
In this story:

The Washington Commanders are looking for specific positions when on the clock during the NFL Draft, but most importantly, they are looking for players to help win them a Super Bowl.

In Sports Illustrated's latest mock draft, they kill two birds with one stone by selecting two-time Georgia Bulldogs National Championship cornerback Kelee Ringo with the No. 16 pick.

"The Commanders need to improve in the trenches, but also the secondary," SI writes. "And with Ringo still available, they should decide to go with the latter. Ringo's build and size, combined with the potential he brings, make this a no-brainer for them."

Should the Commanders select Ringo, he would immediately fixture into the starting secondary lineup alongside Kendall Fuller, Benjamin St-Juste, Kam Curl and Darrick Forrest.

Ringo possesses good size at 6-2 and is superb in coverage, as his length allows him to cover some of the bigger receivers in college football. But while his smarts are good, his physical attributes would pique the Commanders' interest, even if he sometimes tends to be a little aggressive.

This past season with the Bulldogs, Ringo recorded 42 tackles and a pair of interceptions, a slight step up from his freshman campaign. Above all, Ringo went 29-1 during his career at Georgia, and the Commanders hope the winning will continue if he makes his way to the nation's capital.
