DE Danielle Hunter among 5 Minnesota Vikings to watch out for in Week 8
The Washington Redskins playoff hopes are falling week by week, but a big win for their fan base would be to travel to Minnesota and knock off the Redskins former quarterback Kirk Cousins and the Vikings.
The Vikings have been on a rollercoaster this season and the man behind all those issues seem to be Cousins and wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The bad news for the Redskins though, it seems like they have both hashed out their issues. Diggs currently leads the Vikings in receiving yards and targets, while Cousins is playing his best football of 2019.
The good news is that Diggs partner in crime, Adam Thielen, has been ruled out of the contest. Thielen suffered a hamstring injury in the club's victory over division rival Detroit this past Sunday. He had scored a touchdown in the game before exiting, and hauled in four scores over the last three weeks.
As for Washington, it will be interesting to see the direction the Redskins go with this one knowing how good of a run defense the Vikings have. Will interim head coach Bill Callahan keep them a run-first team or will he allow Case Keenum to open up the offense a little more?
While Washington is gearing up to play Cousins, the Vikings faithful are getting ready to see the quarterback who led them on their most recent successful playoff journey. Keenum led the team to the NFC Championship game in 2017 before bowing out to eventual Super Bowl champions the Philadelphia Eagles.
