Washington Commanders Coach Hire Is 'Obvious' & A 'Dream!' Eric Bieniemy Endorsed by DeSean Jackson
In this story:

We're not sure that DeSean Jackson is especially plugged into the thinking of the Washington Commanders front office or of its locker room. But as a former Washington and NFL player, he deserves a voice.

And he's using it to push for a candidate he thinks is both "obvious" and a "dream."

Appearing on Up & Adams, Jackson opined that Commanders offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is the "obvious choice" to be the team's head coach.

Obviously, most find that conclusion to be less than ... well, "obvious" - though certainly EB has paid his dues to the point at which job interviews, here and elsewhere, should come his way.

More, Jackson believes this hiring would be a "dream." As Commanders fans know - and maybe Jackson does not - not everybody in this locker room concurs with that.

And one more: Jackson said he believes that Bieniemy should have been hired as a head coach last year to work for the now-deposed Ron Rivera. And he expressed surprise that Bieniemy settled to move from being the Chiefs coordinator to essentially do that same job here.

But DeSean, the Commanders wound up going just 4-13. They had a bottom-of-the-barrel offense. The offensive line couldn't block. Second-year quarterback Sam Howell regressed. Right?

"I know they really struggled last year but he needs a quarterback that can go in there and help him out. If he gets a quarterback in there and a few more players... (he can succeed)," Jackson said.
