Eric Bieniemy 'Eyed' By Seahawks As Fired Commanders Coach Visits with Super Bowl Chiefs
Right about the same time new Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn was informing Eric Bieniemy that his services would no longer be needed - a polite way to say, "You're fired!" - Bieniemy was already flirting with his old bosses in Kansas City ...
And now maybe is worth "a look" from the Seattle Seahawks.
Seattle has hired Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald as its new top guy, and as the Seahawks are building their staff are examining offensive coordinator candidates. ... and the Seahawks might be a team to watch in connection with Bieniemy, according to our plugged-in colleague Adam Caplan.
"Keep an eye on the Seahawks here," Caplan tweeted.
The Seahawks have so far been tied to the likes of new Alabama assistant Ryan Grubb and Lions aide Tanner Engstrand. They wanted to visit with Giants assistant Mike Kafka but New York blocked that request.
A year ago, Bieniemy came to the Commanders after five seasons as the Chiefs’ non-play-calling coordinator, but Washington's overall failure did not serve to advance Bieniemy's candidacy here or, apparently, elsewhere.

Bieniemy does, however, have the Andy Reid stamp of approval, so much so that he has recently been speaking to the Chiefs roster as a way of helping K.C., which is in the Super Bowl this Sunday here in Las Vegas against the 49ers.
If Bieniemy is good enough for the Chiefs, is he good enough to pluck out of limbo? Or, ultimately, maybe a re-marriage is his best path back to success.
