Commanders Interview with Chiefs' Eric Bieniemy Continuing to Day 3; Hire Coming?
We've known for over a month now the Washington Commanders needed a new offensive coordinator after firing Scott Turner in January.
Commanders coach Ron Rivera has also made it known he'd like to have his new offensive coordinator hired by the end of the week.
Now, we all come from different backgrounds, but most call Friday the end of the week, right?
If so, then Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy might be a little put off if the hire isn't him, since he'll be spending even more time with the organization on Friday.
Washington Post reporter Nicki Jhabvala tweeted Thursday evening, "Was told the Commanders' talks with Eric Bieniemy today were positive and they're expected to continue into Friday."
Jhabvala also shared that she was told Bieniemy had dinner with Rivera and others on Wednesday night prior to having his formal interview at the team facility on Thursday.
If it's possible to have a first and second interview in the span of two days, then getting a third in three has to be as good a sign as any.
And now, most everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop, and for a deal to be solidified making Bieniemy the next offensive coordinator in Washington.
