"This fan base is really truly an iconic one because of its past, its history, its tradition. We've just got to understand, treat each other the same way and just understand that it's all about you know, enjoying the game, the atmosphere," Commanders coach Ron Rivera said.

The Washington Commanders weren't the only ones battling at FedEx Field in Sunday's 20-16 win against the Arizona Cardinals.

During the game, a group of fans appeared to get in a violent fight as the rain poured inside the stadium.

Here's a look at the video ...

Coach Ron Rivera commented on the fight after Sunday's game.

"You know, it's one of the things that you know, the tradition of Washington football is true. You go all the way back to the '80s coaches here and you just know that that's not that's not what his fan base is about. This fan base is really truly an iconic one because of its past, its history, its tradition. We've just got to understand, treat each other the same way and just understand that it's all about you know, enjoying the game, the atmosphere," Rivera said.

After the fight, Martino Ancora, the man in a Baltimore Ravens jersey, was arrested on charges of trespassing, disorderly conduct, and second-degree assault.

"I was there at the game with my girlfriend. I was being a spectator. She's a fan of the Commanders," Ancora told FOX 5. "I was just there supporting her on opening day. I was cheering for the Commanders as I'm in the row, there's a guy a row ahead of me ... He started being disrespectful with his words, and as you can see on the video, he pushed me first and as he pushed me I tried to lean in, and I was gonna push him back, but before I could push them back, the guy in our row actually rushed the whole aisle and knocked us all on to the ground."

Ancora is set to appear in court within the next few weeks.
