Washington Commanders managing partner Josh Harris and general manager Adam Peters plan on building their team through the NFL Draft while supplementing the roster through free agency.

While plenty of soon-to-be free agents have already begun their offseason there are some playing this weekend that the Commanders may eye to help flesh out what will become the future of football in Washington.

Here are four upcoming free agents to watch on Saturday as the NFL Playoffs continue in the Divisional Round.

HOUSTON TEXANS @ BALTIMORE RAVENS, 4:30 P.M. ET (ESPN/ABC)

Derek Barnett, Texans Defensive End

As a first-round NFL Draft selection of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017 Barnett spent his first six seasons there before being waved after playing in eight games this year.

The Texans claimed him, and since then Barnett appeared on 99 regular season defensive snaps before logging 47 in their Wild Card win over the Cleveland Browns last weekend.

He logged two tackles and a sack in the win and is someone to watch this weekend in the NFL's Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Patrick Queen, Ravens Linebacker

There was plenty of trade speculation surrounding Queen this past year to make the thought he may depart Baltimore after this season more believable.

Of course, trade speculation typically follows a player getting his fifth-year option declined, which is exactly the scenario Queen found himself in this season.

The linebacker set career highs in 2022 before having his option declined and its possible the Ravens only did so because they're already paying linebacker Roquan Smith and quarterback Lamar Jackson top-dollar.

Queen responded to the declining of his option by setting some new career highs earning his first trip to the Pro Bowl and a spot on the Second-Team All-Pro roster.

GREEN BAY PACKERS @ SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS, 8:15 P.M. ET (FOX)

Keisean Nixon, Packers Cornerback

Nixon is in his second season with Green Bay and has earned two First-Team All-Pro roster spots.

Both of those came as a return specialist, not a cornerback, but he still has some ability there as well.

Against the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round Nixon didn't get any return opportunities but lead his team in tackles with 11 and secured an interception as well.

Chase Young, 49ers Defensive End

Washington fans are fairly familiar with Young after he appeared in 34 games over his first 3.5 seasons in the NFL playing for the franchise.

Since being traded to San Francisco Young has gotten to opposing quarterbacks 2.5 times while collecting a combined 10 tackles in nine games.

Commanders to 'Build Through The Draft' Says GM Adam Peters; New QB Incoming?

Commanders fans have subtly wondered if Young might return as a free agent this offseason, especially with coach Ron Rivera and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio no longer employed by the team.

We don't see it happening, but because there are some wondering about the possibility and we live in a never-say-never world, it's best to just address it right out of the 49ers playoff gate.
