The Washington Commanders offense is clicking against the Atlanta Falcons.

After trailing 7-3, the Commanders have now scored 14 unanswered points with touchdowns to Antonio Gibson and Curtis Samuel.

Here's a look at Sam Howell's 7-yard touchdown pass to Samuel ...

For Samuel, this game marks the third straight week that he has scored a touchdown. He scored on a rushing touchdown in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles and caught a pass from Howell last week on Thursday Night Football against the Chicago Bears.

It's only the second time in Samuel's career that he has scored in three straight games and the first time he's accomplished the feat in Washington. The scoring success he's had makes this Samuel's best year in Washington to date. Perhaps Eric Bieniemy's role as the offensive coordinator is helping him out.

"We just got to come out here and work every day," Samuel said during training camp. "Work to understand the playbook so we can go out there and play fast. We love the game, so this is what we here for, we got to enjoy it.”

It appears Samuel understands the playbook and he has turned himself into one of the most important figures on the Commanders offense this season. If he continues along this trajectory, he could be due for a payday this offseason when he becomes a free agent.

Washington holds a 17-7 lead against Atlanta late in the second quarter as the team inches closer towards snapping a three-game losing streak.
