Commanders' Brian Robinson Jr. Prediction: Washington's Best RB?

With a 17-game season under his belt, the Commanders 2022 third-round pick Brian Robinson Jr. will rush for 1,000+ yards, one prediction has it.
In this story:

Running back Brian Robinson Jr. missed the first four games of his rookie year with the Washington Commanders after being shot twice in his leg, and still managed 797 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

It bears repeating. Robinson was struck by two bullets in his leg, a rather necessary limb for running backs, and produced what would have been a 1,000-yard performance had he gotten 17 games.

With that in mind, Sports Illustrated made 100 bold predictions for the NFL season and believes that Robinson will hit that mark and more.

"Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. will rush for more than 1,100 yards and seven touchdowns," SI writes. "Robinson, who was a third-round pick in 2022, played in 12 games after recovering from a gunshot wound before the start of his rookie season. He managed 797 yards and three total touchdowns."

Prior to starring in the NFL, the Alabama product was played behind the likes of Najee Harris and Josh Jacobs in college. Battle-tested on the field, resilient off the field, and with new offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy in town, there's no reason for Robinson to endure a sophomore slump.

When breaking down the future of Commanders football, Sports Illustrated may have gotten this one completely right: Robinson, it seems, is going to only get better on his way to becoming the next great Crimson Tide back ... though incumbent Antonio Gibson might have something to say about that.
