'Who Gives a S***?!' Commanders' Sam Cosmi Blasts Ravens Record

Washington Commanders offensive lineman Sam Cosmi hopes to break the Baltimore Ravens' 24-game preseason win streak on Monday Night Football.
In this story:

The Washington Commanders look to snap the Baltimore Ravens' record-setting 24-game win streak in the preseason dating back to 2015 when the two teams meet on Monday Night Football (8 p.m., ESPN).

"I think it's a stupid record!" Cosmi said via NBC Sports' JP Finlay. "Who gives a s*** about preseason games?''

The Commanders have contributed the most losses out of any team to Baltimore's win streak, having lost to the Ravens five times in the preseason since 2016. Washington has lost to them every preseason since 2017, excluding 2020 when the preseason was not played due to COVID-19.

Cosmi has been with the Commanders since they drafted him in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Before then, he played college football at the University of Texas. Ahead of the upcoming game, he was confident in their ability to end Baltimore's historic streak.

"If we beat it, great," Cosmi said. "We're gonna beat it, so there you go."

The Ravens collected their first streak-extending win this preseason against the Philadelphia Eagles, winning 20-19 on Aug. 12. The Commanders also won their first preseason game this season, defeating the Cleveland Browns 17-15.

Washington will play host to Baltimore on Monday night at 8 p.m. at FedEx Field as it attempts to end the streak that ... either matters, or doesn't.
