The Washington Commanders continue to add to their offensive line.

According to NFL insider Ari Meirov, the Commanders are signing right tackle Andrew Wylie to a three-year, $24 million deal.

Wylie signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017 and spent the first six seasons of his career there. During his time with Kansas City, Wylie started 59 games. This past season marked the first time he started the whole year.

Wylie's decision to sign with the Commanders reunites him with offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, who he's worked with since 2018.

The signing of Wylie adds to an offensive line that allowed 48 sacks in 2022, which was the seventh-most in the NFL.

Along with Wylie, the Commanders also signed New York Giants offensive lineman Nick Gates to a three-year deal.

If Washington opts to keep Wylie at right tackle, that could mean Sam Cosmi will be moved to the interior of Washington's offensive line.

The Chiefs offensive line allowed only 26 sacks this past season, which was the third-best in sacks allowed in the NFL and the least in the AFC.

Offensively, the Chiefs ranked first in points per game and passing yards per game. The addition of Wylie, Gates and Bieniemy figure to bolster a Washington offense that ranked in the bottom half of the league throughout the 2022 season.
