NFL Trade Idea: Commanders' Chase Young to Ravens?

The Washington Commanders have not been clear with Chase Young's future, and this mock trade to Baltimore isn't unreasonable.
In this story:

The Washington Commanders drafted defensive end Chase Young with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and his Rookie of the Year performance proved that he could be a star in the NFL.

But a new question has dominated Young's offseason: will he be a star with a different franchise?

Bleacher Report's latest mock trade with Young involved has the 24-year-old shipping off to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for linebacker Patrick Queen and a fourth-round pick.

"He's been productive," Bleacher Report said of Smith. "He had 117 combined tackles and five sacks in 2022 and has played in every game since he's been drafted."

Queen came from the same draft class as Young, taken with the No. 28 pick by Baltimore and finishing third in Rookie of the Year voting behind Young.

And the biggest plus with this deal would be consistency. The Commanders are in need of help at linebacker, especially a young, durable option.

"The Commanders would get a steady presence at linebacker, while the Ravens would get an edge-rusher who could help take their defense to the next level," Bleacher Report writes.

Young has played 26 games in his three seasons since being taken out of Ohio State. Queen has appeared in almost double, starting 50 games in the NFL. And that really makes this enticing.

As good as Young can be, he's been hurt for the majority of his Commanders career, and his ability to remain on the field is still unknown. Being dealt for a healthy option would not be shocking.
