LOOK: Washington Commanders Week 11 Uniforms vs. New York Giants Revealed
The Washington Commanders will wear their black alternate uniforms for their Week 11 tilt against the New York Giants at FedExField. Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reported the decision on the team's uniforms.
This will mark the second time that the Commanders have worn the black alternate uniforms this season, with the previous time coming on Thursday Night Football against the Chicago Bears in Week 5 at Soldier Field. The Commanders lost that game 40-20, with Chicago receiver D.J. Moore catching eight passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns from quarterback Justin Fields.
In 2022, Washington rebranded to the nickname "Commanders," introducing three jerseys, a burgundy one, a white one and a black one. The all-black uniforms are a break from Washington's typical burgundy-heavy uniforms, although they do still feature some burgundy and yellow on the numbering, name plates and sleeves. And frankly, they may be the best part of a uniform set that ranked 31st on our SI/FanNation preseason countdown.

The Giants, according to Gridiron Uniform Database, will counter with their white jerseys and primary blue helmets for the Week 11 matchup.
The 4-6 Commanders -- whose playoff hopes are on life support -- are nine-point home favorites over the 2-8 Giants. New York is set to start third-string quarterback Tommy DeVito for the second consecutive week, as both Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor are on injured reserve. Jones will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL in New York's Week 9 loss to the Raiders.
