Washington embarrassed on MNF, fall to Bears 31-15

The Redskins came in to the game hoping to save their season, now they might be worried about saving jobs.

Poor ball security will cost you games, but in some cases, it may even cost jobs. The Washington Redskins could be finding that out sooner rather than later as quarterback Case Keenum turned it over five times - three interceptions and two lost fumbles - and the Chicago Bears defense pounced for a 31-15 victory on the road at Fed Ex Field on Monday Night Football.

Like in the previous two weeks, the Redskins gave a glimpse of something to be intrigued about. On Monday, they found themselves down 28-3 at the half, but stampeded back as rookie Terry McLaurin got things going with his third touchdown reception in as many games. But as quickly it was made interesting, it was got snatched away when Danny Trevathan swatted the ball from the hand's of Keenum on a key fourth and one with three minutes left, sealing the 0-3 start to the season for Washington.

As in any game, there are positives, but from the moment former-Redskin Ha Ha Clinton Dix housed a 37-yard interception in the first quarter those all seemed out of focus. Not to mention Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky – who had not thrown a touchdown all season – managed to find the end zone three times through the air on 25-for-31 passing.

It’s hard to imagine positions of all kinds won’t be re-analyzed this coming week which means it might be Dwayne Haskins time in Week 4.
