In Week 1, the Washington Redskins displayed flashes of potential that had been faintly discussed this past off-season, but unfortunately, that only lasted one half during the 2019-20 season opener. After leading 20-7 through two quarters, the margin vanished quickly as the Philadelphia Eagles offense kicked it to overdrive right out from the locker room to storm to a 32-27 comeback victory. And in Week 2, the challenge of earning that first win of the year doesn't get any easier for the Redskins as they welcome another NFC East dynamo with the Dallas Cowboys coming into Fed Ex Field.

The Cowboys - who were already poised to frequent the early-season Super Bowl discussion - re-affirmed themselves as a serious contender when Dak Prescott lit up the New York Giants for four touchdowns on an easy 405 yards passing. New offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has seemingly unlocked the home-run potential of the Cowboys offense, so it's a safe bet Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper, and breakout candidate Michael Gallup will provide plenty of firepower for this Washington defense to contain. The only question will be which version of the defense shows up from the Redskins Week 1 loss?

But before the game, here's everything you need to know about the 2019-20 home opener:
