WATCH: Vernon Davis gets Michael Jordan air, hurdles before TD

Talk about getting off on the right foot. Vernon Davis got off of both feet, hauling in a third-down pass for a first down before turning up-field, hurdling defenders and taking it 48 yards to the house. Washington has taken the early lead, 7-0.

According to the FOX broadcast, this is the first opening drive touchdown for the Redskins in Week 1 since 2004 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 35-year-old Davis was forced into the starting lineup due to fellow tight end Jordan Reed's concussion and inactive status.
Davis moves into 6th all-time among TE's in NFL history in TD's. Passes Shannon Sharpe with that score. 63rd career.
