The Washington Commanders may be down several players, but they are putting pressure on the Dallas Cowboys.

Quan Martin, Washington's second-round pick, picked off Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott after the pass was batted down at the line of scrimmage.

Here's a look at the play ...

Martin was a surprise selection by the Commanders with the No. 47 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

"Martin is a versatile defensive back with significant experience at outside corner and slot corner, but he’ll likely spend more time in deeper safety alignments at the NFL level," SI Draft Bible writes.

With Martin in the fold, the Commanders are showing a desire to upgrade the secondary in more ways than one. Martin is expected to play safety while fellow rookie  Emmanuel Forbes starts at cornerback. While the two play different positions in the secondary, both are similar in how versatile they play.

"Martin is a good matchup for tight ends in the slot, but he appears unable to mirror and stay attached to wide receivers consistently," SI Draft Bible writes. "The versatile defender has a bad habit of getting grabby downfield, which will draw yellow flags in the pros."

The Commanders are tied with the Cowboys in the second quarter.
