FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys have suffered significant losses along the offensive line with tackle Tyron Smith and center Tyler Biadasz leaving in fee agency. They almost have to pick an offensive lineman in the early rounds - possibly at No. 24 - to add a potential starter to the lineup.

The draft is fairly deep with offensive linemen, but the Cowboys are known for drafting for need, not necessarily the best player available. And the current roster may dicate that this offseason more than ever.

One possibility at No. 24 is Arizona Wildcats standout tackle Jordan Morgan. He's not a consensus first-round pick but remember, Dallas' draft gurus don't always agree with the masses, nor do they draft the way some think they should.

The Cowboys could definitely get younger and cheaper at tackle with Morgan.

Morgan earned first-team All-PAC-12 honors after a standout 2023 season after coming back with a vengeance from his ACL injury. Morgan has the potential to be a Day 1 starter for Mike McCarthy's offense and would be in charge of protecting Dak Prescott's blindside at left tackle.

Morgan's 6'5", 325 lb frame gives him all the power, speed and athleticism to be a viable contributor as soon as he steps foot in Dallas.

Dallas has been suspiciously quiet in free agency this year, much to the chagrin of fans, but owner and general manager Jerry Jones no doubt has a plan in place to protect his quarterback, Dak Prescott, as he enters the final year of his contract.
