Dallas Cowboys Safety Juanyeh Thomas Rips Fans On Social Media
Dallas Cowboys fans are not exactly known for their patience, and this offseason is offering proof of that.
For nearly a month now, Cowboys fans have been up in arms over the team's inaction in free agency. That may even be understating it, as fans have been livid since January's playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers, possibly even longer.
The civil unrest among Cowboys fans has even gotten to the players, at least to safety Juanyeh Thomas.
A second-year safety out of Georgia Tech, Thomas took to social media to essentially tell Cowboys fans to lighten up a bit. The 23-year-old replied to a video posted on the Seattle Seahawks' account with the caption "Having fun with it," and lamented why the Cowboys can't do something similar.
"I love how other teams can post stuff like this and their fans are like 'I love how my team is having fun!' … God forbid our media team post something like this, most our fans gone say 'see this is why we don’t take football serious'…" Thomas wrote on X.
Dallas fans are indeed a fickle bunch, but at this point, who can blame them? The Cowboys are getting close to 30 years without even an NFC Championship Game appearance, and fans have watched the team flame out repeatedly in the playoffs ever since. All the while, the front office is doing little to fix the issues, at least in the eyes of fans.
If Thomas wants fans to lighten up, it's likely that nothing short of a Super Bowl victory will make it so.
