Dallas Cowboys Contract ‘Holdouts’: Micah Parsons & CeeDee Lamb Skip Start of Workouts at The Star
FRISCO - CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons find themselves in the same boat when it comes to their wait for contract extensions.
And on Monday here at The Star, Lamb and Parsons are also unified in their “holdout” position as the Dallas Cowboys up for their first day of their voluntary NFL offseason program.
Parsons chose to not attend last year, and …
Offseason work is voluntary. So there is no reason to panic here.
But the Cowboys have long taken pride in their roster attendance at sessions like these …
And these two players are missing for a reason.
Parsons and Lamb are both subject to contract extensions … and our understanding is there has been very little movement in that area for the two All-Pros.
As it stands, Parsons is due a base salary of $2.99 million. But next year, his fifth-year option salary jumps all the way to $21.32 million. … and we believe he is seeking $30 million APY in a long-term deal.
That same number is the likely goal for Lamb, presently slated to make $17.88 million in 2024, the final year of his existing deal.
Those two, along with extension candidate Dak Prescott, headline the Cowboys’ biggest investment decisions … whenever the Cowboys finally choose how to invest.
