Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Rank as Most Popular In NFL? Not So Fast!
FRISCO - The iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are ranked the No. 2 most-popular cheer team in the NFL, according to a new study that analyzed the amount of Instagram posts, TikTok posts and the number of Instagram followers.
The Cincinnati Ben-Gals took the top spot, according to Betway, because of their impressive TikTok presence (68,700 hashtag posts.)
The Cowboys cheerleaders have by far the most Instagram followers (663,000) of all NFL dance teams That’s nearly 449,000 more than the team with the second-highest number of followers, the Chiefs Cheerleaders (214,000).
While this study weighed TikTok over Instagram to determine final ranking, the argument can be made that DCC is top dog when it comes to NFL cheer teams.
The success of DCC is undeniable. "America's Sweethearts" are an international brand, so much so that the star-spangled uniform hangs in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.
Most recently, the Cowboys Cheerleaders teamed up with the USO to bring joy to service members, visiting four military bases across South Korea.
In addition to performing at the military bases, the DCC hosted a youth cheer clinic and meet and greets with service members and families. This year marked the 85th tour in which the Cowboys cheerleaders have joined forces with the USO, the leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the well-being of the people serving in America's military and their families.
Rounding out the top five most-popular NFL cheer teams in the study are: No. 3 Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, No. 4 New Orleans Saintsations and No. 5 Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders.
