Micah Parsons' Dallas Cowboys Absence 'Not About Money,' Claims Report
FRISCO - CeeDee Lamb's absence from the Monday start of voluntary workouts here inside The Star does seem to be about his contractual stalemate.
Micah Parsons is also among the missing as of Monday, though his reasoning is allegedly "not about money,'' per one report.
Parsons, perThe Dallas Morning News, is "focused on a personalized training program outside the facility while determined to prepare himself for the 2024 season in the manner he considers optimal.''
That's a lot of fancy words to say "he's working out on his own.''
Parsons did the same thing at this time last year and of course experienced an All-Pro season. While the stellar defender obviously has his critics - most of that is about his "colorful'' quotes that some think distracts him from keeping his eye on the prize - he produces ... which is why we've suggested that maybe his inside-The-Star critics do a better job of keeping their "focus on winning'' rather than on their "worn-thin'' "focus on leaking.''
These early sessions are voluntary, but that does not make them insignificant ... otherwise, why would teams engage in them? A June 4-6 minicamp is mandatory, and that will mark a milestone for quarterback Dak Prescott, Lamb and Parsons, who are all due potential blockbuster contract extensions.
