Cowboys LOOK: Colin Kaepernick Works Out with CeeDee Lamb: 'He's Still Kap!'

Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb has come away impressed after a workout with Colin Kaepernick. “The arm’s still intact, strong arm. Deep balls, very nice. Man, he’s still Kaep, now. (He's) still got it,” Lamb says.

OXNARD, Calif. - Free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick was recently involved in a workout of sorts with a group of NFL standouts that including Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb.

And Lamb came away impressed, saying, “The arm’s still intact, strong arm. Deep balls, very nice. Man, he’s still Kaep, now. (He's) still got it ...”

In fairness to what is actually happening here, as Kaepernick posted video of the workout on Twitter, this feels like a promotional deal and a branding effort as much as it does a fight to return to the NFL - not to suggest that Kaepernick's desire is insincere.

“I’m going to keep pushing,” Kaepernick said last month of an attempt to battle his way back into a sport that shunned him for his sociopolitical views. “I’m going to keep fighting for it because I know I can step on the field and play. Every workout, every opportunity I’ve had to show that, the feedback has always been positive.''

This feedback certainly qualifies as an assortment of present NFL players showed up at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, to engage in the session. Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris, Miami Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle, Seattle Seahawks receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and New England Patriots receiver Kendrick Bourne caught passes from Kaepernick.

“Man, he looks great,” Bourne said. “He looks good, the arm looks strong. He got a rocket of an arm … he got another good six years left.”

Kaepernick, now 35, played six years in the NFL and appeared in a Super Bowl with the San Francisco 49ers.
