'We're Both Conquerors!' Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb Reveal 'Secret' of Dallas Cowboys Success

FRISCO - Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb have a secret. Or, shall we say, had a secret. ... because it is out of the bag and on display now most every NFL weekend. That secret, complete with an unusual self-characterization?

"We're both are conquerors,'' Dallas Cowboys QB Prescott said of himself and top target receiver Lamb. "We want to overcome whatever it is, whatever that situation or problem is.''

And as they approach one of the biggest games of the NFL season as on Sunday night they play host as the Philadelphia Eagles, so many of those "problems'' have been ... well, conquered.

The Cowboys are 6-1 since the loss at the 49ers loss - yes, the one Prescott is sick of being asked about - and the stretch has seen Prescott complete 70.5 percent of his passes for 2,173 yards with 21 touchdowns with just two interceptions. Combine all of that with his 121.5 quarterback rating during the seven-game window and yes, Prescott is a leading MVP candidate.

For the season, Dak has 3,234 passing yards, 26 touchdowns and just six interceptions.

Lamb, meanwhile, has during this time recorded five 100-yard games and four games with double-digit catches. In the seven games, he's been good for 824 yards on 63 catches with six touchdowns.

Lamb this year has 90 catches for 1,182 yards and seven touchdowns.

"Conquers''? Yes, and something else, Lamb said.

“I’d say we’re both winners,” Lamb said. “We’re willing to do whatever it (takes).''

What is takes to stay in contention for the NFC's top playoff slot is a 9-3 Cowboys win over the 10-2 Eagles. The Cowboys have every reason for confidence against Philly at AT&T Stadium, where Dallas has won 14 straight overall and five straight specifically against the Eagles.

Dak to Lamb figures as a foundational reason for that confidence, too.

Lamb, Dak said, "does everything the right way.''

Dak, said Lamb, is all about "being on the same page (and) staying true to each other.''
