Cowboys Blame? Gisele Cites Dallas in Tom Brady Retirement

“It was tough,'' Gisele says in review of Tom Brady's poor performance in his Tampa Bay Bucs' playoff loss to the Cowboys. "I think he did great under the circumstances that he had.'' But ...

FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys aren't "to blame,'' exactly, for the decision by Tom Brady to retire from the NFL. But according to his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen, Micah Parsons and "America's Team'' may have hurried along the process.

“It was tough, but you know what?'' Gisele said in review of Brady's poor performance in his Tampa Bay Bucs' playoff loss to Dallas. "I think he did great under the circumstances that he had.

"I mean, he had no offensive line.”

The Bucs actually did employ an "offensive line,'' and while the Dallas pass rush didn't rack up huge numbers against the 45-year-old legend Brady, the two sacks were just the tip of the iceberg in Tampa that might as the QB had no time to throw and no success when he tried in the Cowboys' 31-14 win.

If Tampa Bay wins that game ... and maybe wins another ... is Gisele's ex making the same retirement decision?

Bundchen, the superstar model, has had some fun over the years playing "football expert,'' and she does so quite a bit in this Vanity Fair interview in which she stresses that even in the divorce, she and Brady remain close. And it shows in defense of the father of her children.

"Let’s just be honest,'' she said of Brady losing to Dallas. "It’s a team sport and you can’t play alone.''
