Cowboys Ex Comeback? Cole Beasley Reveals Tryout Plan

Old Dallas Cowboys pal Cole Beasley has bounced in and out of the league in the last couple of years but at 34 is planning an NFL comeback.

FRISCO - Cole Beasley has bounced in and out of the NFL in the last couple of years. But at 34, the Dallas-area native and former Dallas Cowboys standout believes there is plenty of “bounce” left … and he’s training with current Buffalo Bills buddies Gabe Davis and Matt Milano in preparation for what Beasley says is a July 21 tryout with an NFL team.

Which team? “Beas” does not feel at liberty to say just yet.

Beasley to OutKick: “I’m not going to say who because I don’t know if they want me to mention that right now. That’s why I’m here (in Orlando working out). Been preparing for that. And trying to stay ready.”

Last season, Beasley, was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a short time, a stint sandwiched in between two turns with the Bills. At the end of last season, he was back in the NFL and had signed with the Bills. The  slot receiver played in just two games for the Josh Allen-led Bills, totaling two receptions for 18 yards.

But in his three prior seasons with the Bills (2019-21), the former Cowboys standout recorded 2,348 yards and 11 touchdowns on 231 catches, becoming one of Allen's favorite targets in the process. And of course the colorful Little Elm and SMU product was also a big success with his hometown team.

We have no indication about the Cowboys or the Bills being tied to a Beasley reunion. But we do bet the diminutive receiver can still do what he does … if he finds an NFL match.
