Dak Prescott as MVP? 'My Expectations!' Says QB Of Huge Dallas Cowboys Stats After Win Over Seahawks

ARLINGTON - The Dallas Cowboys needed to survive what turned out to be a high-scoring shootout on "Thursday Night Football'' ... a 41-35 victory over the visiting Seattle Seahawks.

The Cowboys moved to 9-3 - the NFL's second-best record - because they survived ... while quarterback Dak Prescott thrived.

My expectations, honestly,'' said Dak in the postgame when asked about the numbers that make him an MVP candidate. "I prepare my (bleep) off, and the players and staff do the same.''

About those numbers ...

Prescott now leads the NFL with 26 TD passes. And in this game? He posted a 118.6 QB Rating, threw for 323 yards, made three TD passes and gave up zero interceptions.

In the last seven games? Dak has a notable 21 TDs to just two interceptions.

And for the season? He's now at 26 TDs (with two more rushing scores) and just six interceptions.

And did we mention that the Prescott-led Cowboys now own the NFL's second-best record at 9-3?

Numbers are numbers,'' Dak said. "But ... it's about the preparation ... that is coming to fruition.''

The "Dak Haters'' - a truly odd national phenomenon - came up in the postgame visit. How does Prescott feel about it all, especially as some critics now have little choice but to reevaluate?

"No different than when they're hatin' me,'' Dak said of those who are now flip-flopping to praising him. "I appreciate 'em, but I don't care about their opinion - I'm blessed.''

Dak then went metaphorically deep and added, “No one’s opinion defines me. People can say whatever they want. I have the pen, I have the paper and I’m the one writing.”

Prescott said that on Sunday he'll be watching the Eagles vs. 49ers game, as Philly comes to DFW next week.

But for now?

"This,'' he said of beating Seattle, "was a big one to get.''

And it took big numbers to get it.
