Dak Prescott Reveals Dallas Cowboys 'Focus' Target for Washington Commanders in Short Week: 'Damn High!'

The Dallas Cowboys eased past the Carolina Panthers 33-10, but Dak Prescott's attention is already firmly on Washington. ... and the Thanksgiving focus, he says, is "damn high!''

It wasn't pretty, but the Dallas Cowboys got their seventh win of the season in a 33-10 decision over the Carolina Panthers. ... and suddenly now, as the team itself recognizes, there's no time for the Cowboys to enjoy their work.

Dallas has a short turnaround before hosting the Washington Commanders at AT&T Stadium, so the Panthers game is already in the rearview mirror.

For Dak Prescott, who didn't have the astronomical numbers that we have been accustomed to over the last four weeks (25/38, 189 yards, and two touchdowns), he is already turning the page as Washington comes into view.

“Obviously, on a quick week, Monday's essentially Thursday, right, so got to get in the film steady, make sure we compact it, get what we got to get done to be prepared for these guys,” Prescott said, noting that Washington is an NFC rival that "beat us the last time we played them (at the end of last year.) ...

"So focus will be high, damn, sure for my part. ...

"It’ll be my job as a leader is making sure guys understand that once again, you're looking (at a) lesser opponent, but we've got to come in and take care of business on Thanksgiving.

"Then we can enjoy our holidays the right way.”

The Cowboys have now won four out of their last five, with the only blip on the radar being the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Up next is a Commanders team that couldn't get past the New York Giants at home off the back of six turnovers (three interceptions, three fumbles) as 4-7 Washington has now suffered back-to-back losses and has put coach Ron Rivera's job in danger.

But as was the case last week against the Giants - beware the wounded animal, and Prescott and his teammates are already working on making sure they aren't taking their division rivals lightly.

While the win over Carolina was nice, a win on Thanksgiving against a division rival will surely be another high ... or, "damn high,'' as Dak might put it.
