Buffalo Blues: Dallas Cowboys Down Big To Bills At Halftime

The Dallas Cowboys have dug a hole for themselves as they trail 21-3 at halftime against the Buffalo Bills.

The Dallas Cowboys' road game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday marked their first time away from AT&T Stadium in nearly a month, and unfortunately for them, it showed.

After steamrolling their opponents in recent weeks, the Cowboys find themselves in a massive 21-3 hole at halftime.

Simply put, the entire team has looked out of sorts in the first half. The defense, coming off a masterful performance in last week's win over the Philadelphia Eagles, buckled early by allowing the Bills to march 75 yards on their opening drive. Then the situation went from bad to worse, as Buffalo went 86 yards soon after to take a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, the offense hasn't gotten too much going either. The Cowboys have just 75 total yards and five first downs, and most of those came on one drive. Even then, they couldn't capitalize and instead had to settle for a field goal.

Dak Prescott, who has been playing some of the best football in his career recently, completed just six of 13 passes or 43 yards in the first half. CeeDee Lamb has 33 of those yards on three receptions, while Tony Pollard has 33 yards on seven carries.

Meanwhile, Buffalo's offense has been rolling. Josh Allen completed five of 11 passes for 73 yards and a touchdown, and he added another touchdown on the ground just inside the two-minute warning. James Cook has 146 yards scrimmage and a receiving touchdown, while Latavius Murray opened the scoring with a two-yard rushing touchdown.

As if all that wasn't bad enough, All-Pro guard Zack Martin left with an injury and is questionable to return.

The Cowboys will get the ball to start the second half, hoping to at least make a dent in the Bills' huge lead.
