Dallas Cowboys Bye Week 'Roller-Coaster’ Review: How to Get Off? FISH PODCAST
FRISCO - Can the Dallas Cowboys remove themselves from their self-described “roller-coaster”?
The Cowboys are at 4-2 following the 20-17 win at the Los Angeles Rams … and with twice as many wins as losses, the roller-coaster is traveling mostly up.
But coach Mike McCarthy - the guy who used the “roller-coaster” phrase - is conceding that there have been performance inconsistencies along the way in these first six weeks of this NFL season.
Can there be good news here? It is worth noting that under McCarthy in the last two-plus seasons, Dallas wins twice as many games as it loses. And more: If a team is working through its flaws but still has a record that makes it a playoff contender? Hey, that is something to build on, right?
Said Cowboys QB Dak Prescott: “It was a must-win. There's a big difference between 4-2 and 3-3. … We talked after last week about not allowing this thing to landslide. When you get this win like we did, we can definitely move on."
Added defensive leader Micah Parsons, referencing Dallas' bounce-back ability: “It’s good to always get back on track That’s our record: prove the naysayers wrong.”
Dallas did accomplish some of that here, even in a game that was not without its blemishes. Or, it's roller-coaster "downs.''
