‘The Show Ain't Over!' CeeDee Lamb Proving Cowboys ‘No. 1’ Claim

Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb torched the much-vaunted secondary of the New York Jets on Sunday and has warned the NFL that more is coming.

"I'll show you." That's what Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb said earlier in the week when asked if he was in the upper echelon of receivers in the NFL.

Against a stout New York Jets secondary, Lamb went full '88' mode as he dominated the game, finishing with 143 yards (106 came in the first half) on 11 receptions as Jeff Ulbrich's unit has no answer for him.

But despite his outstanding performance on Sunday, Lamb is still in prove-it mode.

"I'm just going out there and playing football," Lamb said. "I know what I'm capable of doing, and the things that I'm pretty good at. The show ain't over. I'm still going. I'm proving it to myself and proving it to my guys that I'm one of The Ones also."

Against the Jets, Lamb proved he is a true No. 1 receiver as Dak Prescott looked his way ... and often. Lamb would end the game being targeted 13 times by Dak, as he was a one-man game-wrecker (that wasn't named Micah Parsons).

In Dallas' two games, Mike McCarthy's team has put up 70 points and conceded only 10 in what is a true showing of this team's ability to score at will (both offensively and defensively) and suffocate an opposing offense.

For Lamb - who Dak has said can rank with any WR1 in the NFL - after a scintillating start to the season, the Cowboys aren't here to take part; they're here to take over.

"We're here to dominate," he said. "We're not here to play around. We understand what's at stake, week in and week out, and we're constantly preparing ourselves to be the best team that we can be — offense, defense, and special teams. Every week that we come out here, we wanna be better than last week."

Lamb has taken to the No. 1 receiver role to aplomb, and on Sunday, when the game was there to be won, like other 88s before him, Lamb was the ultimate playmaker as he played a huge roll in the Cowboys steamrolling the Jets in devastating fashion.
