Cowboys Win Way-Too-Early 2024 NFL Mock Draft with Lineman

The Dallas Cowboys land a promising offensive lineman prospect in PFF's way-too-early 2024 NFL Mock Draft

The Dallas Cowboys are feeling pretty good about their picks in the 2023 NFL Draft. Although no one knows how well these players will fare until they actually take the field in September, the Cowboys' first impressions of their draft class are very strong.

Even though this year's draft is barely in the rear-view mirror, some have already begun looking ahead to next years. That includes Max Chadwick of Pro Football Focus, who released a way-too-early 2024 mock draft on Saturday.

Chadwick used current Super Bowl odds to determine the draft order, meaning the Cowboys have the No. 26 pick in this mock. With that pick, they select Kansas State offensive lineman Cooper Beebe.

Beebe was originally a defensive tackle coming out of high school, but converted to the other side of the ball once he got to college. He has bounced around the line in his time at Kansas State, playing right tackle, left tackle and most recently left guard. One thing has remained consistent, though, Beebe has been excellent no matter where he lines up.

According to PFF, Beebe has not allowed a sack in 803 pass-blocking snaps, a streak dating back to a game against Iowa State on Nov. 21, 2020. His pass-blocking grade of 94 is also the highest among all offensive linemen.

It's early, but offensive line could be a big need for Dallas come next year. The Cowboys only allowed 27 sacks in 2022, fourth-fewest in the league, but were 28th in pass block win rate according to ESPN. With Connor McGovern's departure this offseason and Zack Martin and Tyron Smith both entering their mid-30s, the Cowboys' future up front looks uncertain.

If they are in the market for an offensive lineman, expect Beebe to be very high on their board.
